Custom T-Shirts Care: How To Make T-Shirts Last Longer

Our closets and cabinets are usually filled with t-shirts as they are the most affordable yet stylish and comfortable clothes to wear. Shirts come in different styles, colors, sizes, sleeve lengths, designs/prints and fabrics. However, like other types of clothing these days, custom t-shirts can look ugly and worn out if you do not care for them properly. Although t shirts wear out faster than other types of clothes like jackets and skirts, you can actually slow down the process through following some tips on t-shirt care.

For instance, when you wear your shirt, try not to yank it over your head, stretch it around your shoulders, or perhaps shove it down to your waist as this can ruin the seams of the shirt. Additionally, when you shop for shirts, try to purchase one that has the right size for your body frame. Sometimes, we tend to stretch shirts that we feel are too tight and this constant pulling can lead to the wearing off the shirts.

In washing your shirts, use cool water instead of hot or warm water together with a color-protecting laundry detergent. Don’t forget to wash it with the shirt turned inside-out to protect its design. When drying the shirts using a dryer, always set it at the normal settings.

For white custom t-shirts, you might eventually notice that they develop yellowish stains around the collar or in the armpits. These are actually caused by the wearer’s sweat and deodorant; therefore, before you wear the shirt, make sure your armpits are completely dry from sweat or deodorant. And when you get home, launder the shirt as soon as possible together with using anti-stain products to avoid these discolorations or stains from developing.

Lastly, don’t forget to remove your shirt in the dryer right in time as this causes wrinkles on the shirt. This goes the same with stuffing the shirt inside the drawer or cabinets. But this is an easy problem to fix as you only need to iron it with the settings at low temperature.

With these tips discussed above, certainly you’ll enjoy your wide selection of shirts at a longer time!
